- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I went to New Hackensack Dental for my first visit as a new patient. I had to go to this practice because of AETNA's DMO plan, and there were only a few providers that accepted it in Dutchess County. The Dentist came in, put his rubber gloves on, and stuck his fingers in my mouth. He immediately told me that my teeth were beautiful and I didn't have to do a thing different. He said to keep doing whatever it was that I was doing. He didn't stick ONE instrument in my mouth to get a closer look. He didn't stick anything in to poke for cavities or to scrap off plaque. He then got the electric brush, put toothpaste on it, and brushed them. I then got a bill for an "examination" (which was paid for by my insurance) and a $12.00 additional charge for a cleaning (which was not). Overall he spent 10 minutes with me, got the examination charge from my insurance for putting his gloves on, and charged me for the only thing he actually did do hands-on.
