  I switched from State Farm to Geico several months back to save some money on a combination of several car and a homeowners insurance, which I did. However, the customer service I keep receiving from the office in Wappingers pales compared to what I had experienced with State Farm. Hardly any of my emails or calls get returned. I used to be able to address questions with the insurance agent I set up the policies with, not so anymore with Geico. Just now, I called the office about a claim that somebody tried to file with Geico, but my question was cut short ("Nobody in the office is licenced to do / talk to claims") without so much hearing me out. It was always my understanding that a local agent / insurance office acts as a go-between between the customer and the actual insurance company. In the case of the Geico office, the main purpose seems to be selling policies and then forget about the customer.

  I had a great experience with the office in Wappingers. I called and they helped me with everything over the phone. My agent was very knowledgeable about all of the confusing coverages. I have many cars and drivers on my policy and needed help! I actually saved on my homeowners too which I wasn't even thinking about. It's great to now have an agent nearby that I can rely on and call if I have any questions. I'm so glad I called!
